August 25, 2006, Newsletter Issue #14: Ribeye: Voted Most Popular

Tip of the Week

Ribeye is a very popular steak. This cut comes from the cow’s ribs. This area is more tender and fattier than any other portion of the cow. The blending of meats, known as “marbeling”, makes ribeye steak delicious. Unlike most other cuts of steak, the ribeye is usually served bone-in. Ribeyes are best slow cooked on a charcoal grill. Using a gas grill may leave a funny taste in the meat.
