Most organic beef in the United States is finished in feedlots, just like non-organic beef, on a corn-based high-protein diet. The difference is that the grain must be organically grown. Grass fed beef is fed only grass and hay throughout the entire life of the animal. There is not much grass-finished beef available in the United States, and very little organic grass-fed beef.
